Overview

The Cardiac CTA Live Patient Scan and Interpretation Course is a two-day, hands-on educational program designed for physicians seeking practical training in cardiac computed tomography angiography (CCTA). The course combines focused instruction with live patient scanning, case interpretation, and hands-on 2D and 3D workstation training. Participants will review CCTA clinical indications and patient selection, cardiac and coronary anatomy, image acquisition, scanning techniques, radiation-sparing protocols, recognition of artifacts, and interpretation of cardiovascular pathology. Through observation and participation in live CCTA examinations, attendees will gain practical experience with patient preparation, image acquisition, post-processing, dataset manipulation, case interpretation, and structured reporting.

The course will be held November 6–7, 2026, at Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, Arizona.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Select appropriate patients for CCTA based on current guidelines and clinical indications.
  2. Manipulate and analyze CCTA datasets using 2D and 3D workstation tools.
  3. Accurately identify and interpret cardiovascular pathology using CCTA.
  4. Produce a standardized CCTA report incorporating essential diagnostic findings.
