Overview
Rural physicians and healthcare providers often face challenges in connecting with specialists and accessing advanced diagnostic resources, impacting patient care. This webinar series focuses on equipping healthcare professionals in resource-limited areas with the skills to leverage telemedicine, build effective referral systems, and foster collaboration to enhance their ability to deliver timely, high-quality care and improve outcomes in underserved communities.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify three key healthcare resources that are often limited or inaccessible to rural physicians and healthcare professionals.
  2. Explain the impact of incorporating connected care models on patient outcomes and access to healthcare in rural settings.
  3. Describe strategies for implementing and integrating telemedicine platforms, referral networks, and interdisciplinary collaboration into clinical practice to enhance healthcare delivery in resource-limited areas.
  4. Develop effective communication skills to coordinate with specialists, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and engage patients in their care to enhance healthcare delivery in resource-limited areas.
