Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Provide best-practice and (where appropriate) guidelines updates to Spine Surgeons by experts knowledgeable in the field. This may include methods of diagnosis, indications and techniques for surgery, technology, and outcomes assessment.
  2. Improve communication and collegiality between Spine Surgeons from different practice groups within the City of Tucson and State of Arizona, fostering community support and cohesiveness rather than competition and criticism.
  3. Educate on difficult or non-resolvable cases through dissemination of experience and consensus building
  4. Inform about workflow and resource management issues at local, regional, and national levels to help address and solve management issues.
  5. Promote leadership skills by understanding thought processes and demonstrating communication skills of locally and nationally recognized thought leaders in Spinal Surgery.
  6. Increase awareness and encourage commonalities in achieving patient satisfaction and safety for Spinal Surgery in clinic and hospital settings.
