Overview
An educational lecture series given by Pediatric Department faculty members that serves as a continuing medical education program, as well as an outreach program to our community and surrounding areas.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify and treat specific pediatric problems addressed in the RSS using evidence-based practice to enhance and improve clinical care.
  2. Recognize areas of pediatric providers' current practice that are no longer meeting current evidence base and standards of care, subsequently utilizing said evidence to change/update clinical practice.
  3. Increase recognition of more challenging pediatric medical issues, thereby improving on time needed to implement appropriate treatments.
  4. Implement corrective plans to address the knowledge gap or process gap in morbidity/mortality event, closing the system or safety issue and, thus, improving patient safety in practice.
  5. Treat various pediatric hematologic conditions properly when they do not require specific hematologic consultation.
