Overview
The Healthcare Professional Fall Symposium focuses on a broad range of pediatric topics to include headaches, asthma, menorrhagia, dog bites, and adolescent mental health. The quality and breadth of the content is beneficial for individuals needing a through review of specific specialty-focused pediatric clinical information. A unique feature of this event is that all speakers will participate in a question/answer session at the end of the offering to answer any questions for further clarification and will provide rationale and evidence where needed.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Utilize new evidence-based treatment and management strategies for selected pediatric illnesses/disease/events (i.e., Sports Injury, Eating Disorders, IBD, Functional Neurologic Disorder, Sleep Medicine, ).
  2. Assess critical changes in patient status in order to refer to a subspecialist when required.
  3. Coordinate transition of patient care among subspecialty providers.
