Overview
Neurosurgery Sub-Specialties Conference provides and evidence-based and multi-disciplinary approach to discuss challenging, interesting, or unusual cases among all neurosurgery providers to improve patient care.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Treat complex surgical conditions based on up-to-date information provided by a wide variety of neurosurgical specialists with diverse training.
  2. Reiew cases regularly and participate in multidisciplinary team care management for complex diagnoses and to improve patient outcomes.
  3. Anticipate possible complications for simple and complex procedures and stay up to date on treatment options for patients.
  4. Select patients for thrombectomy and stroke procedures optimally.
  5. Select patients for spine fusion optimally.
  6. Utilize imaging for localization of cranial disease appropriately.
  7. Utilize resources effectively and manage vasospasm optimally.
  8. Evaluate unstable spine fracture preoperatively.
  9. Stratify risk of brain metastases patients with follow-up studies selected accordingly.
  10. Identify endocrine dysfunction in pituitary tumors quickly.
  11. Identify sagittal and coronal balance preoperatively to ensure thorough index spine operation.
  12. Decrease patient length of stay and symptomatic anti-diuretic hormone management after skull base tumors.
  13. Follow-up glioma patients to minimize recurrence in timely and thorough fashion.
