The 1.5 hour grand rounds will present the latest aspects of anesthesiology and subspecialties including pain, critical care, pediatric anesthesiology, cardiac, neuroanesthesia, as well as relevant topics in medicine, physician wellbeing, diversity, equity and inclusion.

1. Evaluate the need for further optimization prior to anesthesia and surgery
2. Improve strategies for patient optimization
3. Utilize safest anesthetic among available options
4. Manage anesthesia in the context of rare diseases, such as malignant hyperthermia
5. Implement care based on accepted practice guidelines and standards
6. Apply basic principles of engineering and physics to interpret monitors
7. Titrate anesthetic agents effectively
8. Recognize and address compensated and uncompensated disease
