Overview
The 2025 Annual Valley of the Sun Heart Symposium will provide a comprehensive review of the latest advancements and innovative practices in cardiology. Esteemed experts in cardiac imaging, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, advanced heart failure, and electrophysiology will lead engaging sessions throughout this highly anticipated event. Emphasizing evidence-based approaches, the symposium will feature a case-based format designed to foster interactive discussions and active participation. Faculty presenters will include renowned professionals from The University of Arizona – Phoenix, Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, and distinguished leaders from across the nation.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Apply advanced imaging techniques such as PET, MRI, and cardiac imaging across cardiology, oncology, and nuclear medicine to improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning.
  2. Demonstrate competence in interventional cardiology, focusing on structural valve interventions, stroke prevention therapies, pulmonary thromboendarterectomy, and aortic pathology.
  3. Evaluate and integrate new therapies in advanced heart failure management, including the use of GLP-1 agonists and other evidence-based interventions
  4. Identify and manage non-atherosclerotic vascular conditions such as FMD and SCAD, particularly in underserved populations, to improve risk stratification and care delivery.
  5. Enhance interdisciplinary collaboration by applying knowledge gained from electrophysiology, imaging, and surgical perspectives to manage complex cardiovascular conditions effectively.
  6. Assess new advancements in electrophysiology and rhythm management, including innovations in device therapies and anticoagulation strategies, to optimize patient outcomes.
