Esteemed clinicians will present innovative, evidence-based approaches in the management of autism spectrum disorder and common associated conditions. Additionally, stakeholders in the community will offer information to help families and healthcare professionals best advocate for and support youth with autism. This conference underscores the importance of active partnership between autistic youth, their families, and their healthcare, educational, and community-based teams. Particular emphasis will be placed on the significance of the primary care provider's collaboration with specialists in delivering a holistic and all-encompassing continuum of care.

  1. Identify and detect promptly early signs indicative of autism during routine well-child visits and facilitate suitable referrals to specialists as needed.
  2. Explain the significance of early intervention and access to services and supports on outcomes for individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
  3. Evaluate and oversee the comprehensive care for children with autism proficiently, including effectively managing referrals and communication with specialists, rehabilitation professionals, and community resources.
